Our Mentoring Services
Our services are intended to use a proprietary curriculum designed specifically for the LAWCF/Black Rhinos of Alabama mentoring program. The curriculum is designed around 7 core mentoring areas of focus and is organized by grade level. The goal of our mentoring program is to facilitate meaningful opportunities that will allow students to be able to articulate and apply skills and principles to real-world situations, as well as pre-designed college, career, and life readiness scenarios, as a result of engaging in mentoring activities.

A youth mentoring program can have a significant impact on the lives of young people. The Lifting as We Climb program will provide them with the support and guidance, they need to achieve their goals and overcome challenges. By creating a structured mentoring program with monthly curriculums, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), mentees can learn essential life skills, and mentors can contribute positively to the community.
How Do We Measure Success?
Lifting as we Climb Mentoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Mentee retention rate: This KPI measures the percentage of mentees who continue participating in the program over a certain period. A higher retention rate indicates that the program effectively meets the mentees’ needs and provides the support they require.
- Mentor engagement: This KPI measures the level of engagement of mentors in the program. A high level of engagement is critical to ensure that the mentees receive the guidance and support they need to achieve their goals.
- Mentee progress: This KPI measures the progress made by mentees during the mentoring program. This can be assessed through various metrics, such as academic performance, career advancement, and personal development.
- Program effectiveness: This KPI measures the overall effectiveness of the mentoring program and achieving its objectives. This can be assessed through surveys and feedback from mentees and mentors.
- Diversity and inclusion: This KPI measure’s the extent to which the mentoring program is exclusively and supports diversity. These can be accessed through various metrics, such as the demographic composition of mentees and mentors and the degree of cultural sensitivity and awareness demonstrated by mentors.
