Serve In Your Community
To continue to reach out to the young men and their families in the communities, we are consistently creating events and other opportunities that will increase funding, community awareness, and the overall service for the youth and their families.
Salvation Army Kettle Bell Campaign
The Red Kettle Bell Campaign began with a Salvation Army Captain, Joseph McFee, in December of 1891 with the goal of providing free Christmas dinners to the impoverished people in the San Francisco area. Today, the Salvation Army Kettle Bell Campaign has grown tremendously serving over 30 million people worldwide during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
Annually, the Lifting As We Climb organization in collaboration with the Beta Mu Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. participates in the annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Bell Ringing at the Pelham area Walmart. The sound of Christmas carols and holiday bells could be heard throughout the day. Generous shoppers filled the red kettle buckets with monetary donations. These funds help support year-round programs provided by the Salvation Army’s area
Wreaths Across America
Each December Lifting As We Climb collaborates with Wreaths Across America to assist in wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 3,400 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea, and abroad.
REMEMBER our fallen U.S. veterans. HONOR those who serve. TEACH children the value of freedom.
