Beta Mu Nu Chapter Awarded the Fatherhood Initiative & Youth Mentoring and Mr. Benjamin Daniels awarded Father of the Year.

On August 29th, the Lifting As We Climb Foundation (LAWCF) hosted its highly anticipated 8 vs 80 Charity Golf Tournament at the scenic Bent Brook Golf Club in Bessemer, Alabama. The event proved to be a great success, not only raising crucial funds but also advancing the mission of LAWCF and expanding its impact on the community.

A Day of Golf for a Greater Cause

The tournament brought together golfers of all skill levels, united by the common goal of supporting LAWCF’s initiatives. The unique format of the tournament—pitting 8-player teams against 80-player teams—created a fun and competitive atmosphere, while also emphasizing the importance of teamwork and community. Participants enjoyed a day of friendly competition on Bent Brook’s challenging course, all while contributing to the Foundation’s broader mission of empowerment and upliftment.

Raising Funds to Support Life-Changing Programs

The funds raised from the 8 vs 80 Charity Golf Tournament will have a direct and lasting impact on LAWCF’s programs, especially those like the Black Rhinos of Alabama Mentorship Program. This program plays a crucial role in shaping the lives of young men by offering mentorship, guidance, and life skills development, helping them excel academically and socially. With the continued support of events like this golf tournament, LAWCF can ensure that the young people involved in its programs receive the essential resources they need to thrive.

In addition to Black Rhinos of Alabama, the funds raised will benefit a wide range of other initiatives that LAWCF supports, including educational workshops, community service efforts, and youth development programs. These resources help further the Foundation’s mission to mentor, empower, and engage the youth and families of Birmingham and beyond.

Fostering Community Engagement and Support

Beyond the fundraising aspect, the golf tournament also served as a platform for community engagement. The event brought together local businesses, organizations, and individuals who share the Foundation’s vision for a better, stronger community. It was an opportunity for participants to connect, collaborate, and deepen their commitment to supporting young people and families facing challenges.

LAWCF is deeply committed to its mission of fostering lifelong learning, social responsibility, and economic empowerment. The golf tournament exemplified these values by not only raising funds but also strengthening the bond between the Foundation and the community it serves.

Looking Ahead: Expanding the Impact

The success of the 8 vs 80 Charity Golf Tournament marks a significant milestone for LAWCF as it continues to expand its reach and impact. The funds raised, along with the awareness generated, will help ensure that the Foundation can continue providing mentorship, educational resources, and community services to those who need it most.

As the Foundation moves forward, events like this golf tournament will remain a critical component of its efforts to support youth and families. LAWCF is excited to continue its work in shaping brighter futures for the next generation of leaders, ensuring that the lessons of “Lifting As We Climb” are passed on to future generations.
